washingtons 1st vlog

Today in class we had to go to the writing center to watch a vlog, its the same thing as a blog but its a video! we had to go on the internet and get on youtube to watch the vlogs. i found an interesting vlog called washingtons 1st vlog. it is made from these two really dumb guys and they talk about the civil war and what they think really happened.

pandora ( the new radio website)

Pandora is this really cool new website were you can listen to music and its free. I actually found out about it on monday! It is really really interesting, I'm glad I came across it! It plays alot of music that love to listen to alot. And I have no bad complaints about it. On the other hand, the other website was rather boring. It's called last fm It didn't do the same thing as Pandora does . it plays music but they only show the music videos of that song you want to listen to. I just think that Pandora caught my attention more, because it has a variety of things. It puts music that you like, you can check the thumbs up icon and it will find more of that same type of music that is similar to what you like. And it also has a little bit of information, about the artist or band. Which is really cool, and can be interesting. I never even heard about this website, until monday, and now I feel like I cant stop using it. I am actually listening to Pandora all the time almost every day now! I have it opened in another window. I think I will use it, untill the website gets shut down or till my computer messes up. I am pretty much addicted to this website now haha. pandora is really neat because you can have alot of play stations or playlist on it! i pretty much now the whole website in the back of my head now! my favorite kind of music is assorted! i like rock, ( ac/dc, aerosmith, the rolling stones, boston, etc.) rap, ( lil wayne, drake, eminem, etc.) pandora as anything you could want in a music website! i would def. recommend it to all of my friends!!

# 14 today's experience!!

Well today the class went to the computer lab where we went on other peoples blogs and read some of the stuff they wrote and had a breif meeting with our instructor.
i felt realy good about commenting on other peoples blogs it was actually really fun because it had to be 100 words and something nice too. I would do it again in the future if it is required of just if we could. The assigment was to comment on two blogs i commented our on one of my friends blogs and the other was another students blog they were both real interesting to write about i really enjoyed doing that. It wasn't that bad, if i didnt know what to write then it probably would be hard than i thought it would be.
other people in our class had to comment on my blogs also so i hope that they were nice about it. I was really nervous just to see what they would write about just because i thought my blogs werent that good and are really boring to read and i was really worried about what the comments will say. are my blogs good enough? do people get what i was trying to say?.
After i was done i basically just kept looking through peoples blogs and wanting to comment but i thought our limit was only two at 100 words each so it wasnt that bad.

i got one comment from a good friend of mine, he said that my blog was preety good but i could just elaborate a little more on what was going on! so i will def. take that into consideration the next time i write a blog! hopefully it will be better this time!

articles blog

theses articles were pretty interseting because the dating web sites people theses days come up withdays are so crazy to be honest i really like thoses articles they were real attention getting how they say e-harmony is bias against gays which is probably not true just they look at love a whole different way , in the eye of god and hhow he portrayed how a man and woman are suppose to be with eachother. im not saying that being gay is wrong but thats what it is in the bible a woman with a man and a man with a woman anywho the website shouln't enounter any law suits with that because their are websites for girl and guys who are gay and are looking for that woman or man. and then there was the aarticle where a spouse past away and a while after they got on a dating website which i thinks ok in ways because some people get lonely at some time and need campionship and there kids are mosty grown or maybe some people dont want to died alone so they try internet dating. persoanlly i never tryed it once and i dont think i will just because i think its pretty scary to talk to someone you don't know they could be lying about things and they might not be who they say they are so to me no i wouldnt do it thats just my opinion those.

email essay!!

In Mrs. Crawford’s English Class today we had read the Email Etiquette Assignment paper by doing what is called popcorn reading. What we learned by reading the Email Etiquette Assignment is that the email has to be in MLA formatting . Which in this case means double spacing, white paper, black ink, and Times New Roman and size font of twelve. What I believe that will be hard about this assignment is that when we type up the paper on our computers we are not allowed to use certain words. Some of the words that are not supposed to be typed in this paper are you and your. Usually when I write essay papers I am used to saying what I am going to be writing about in the assignment, but Mrs. Crawford is not allowing us to use the starting of sentences like This email is about, I will tell you, and I believe. One reason of what I think will be an easy task about writing this paper is my English Teacher Mrs. Crawford is not making the amount of the essay to be really long. The essay paper only has to be 2-3 paragraphs with six sentences in each paragraph. Pretty easy. I think writing this assignment will be helpful. One reason I think that this assignment would be helpful is that I know that some time in my four years of college, what ever college I am at I will need to politely write an email or type a paper to a professor of mine asking about or asking to change a specific grade of mine on either a test, quiz, homework, or regular in class assignment. So in the end of writing this paper it will be good practice for me!

what we did in class!!

Today what we did in class was not really fun but rather boring because i found out that everything is getting hareder by the day of my new college life. We learned that Our next assignment is we have to read up on 2 given topics and compare the 2 and talk about what they both meant and what they meant to us individually. The overall discussion that we had the other day was a good one that really helped me look into the future of what we will be doing in our english class. Also we are now gradually moving up from 150 word blogs to 300 word blogs. So the challenges are getting harder by the day but it should'nt be that hard?! My group is very strong, we all have what it takes to do very well. 5 is a perfect group to have, but having that many is also a good thing. We all have are different ideas that can help one another. But we might also have some disagreements. It will also make as learn more about each other. I know in our syllabus it says we discuss about email etiquette but for some reason I dont remember this. That is our first assignment for the class. Well its not actaully the first one since we do have blogs to do and the presention that group 3 and 4 have to do soon. Im guessing the email etiquette is for us to learn how to properly make an email. We will also be reading but most of it will be on the internet using time magazine. we will also use our books but just for specific articles like the four we had to read already! but the online reading sounds really fun using the time magazine.

bad bad grade!!

this is ridiculous I got a D on my paper, Mr. Wienerschnitzel just doesn’t see perfection when its right there in his face! he really gets on my nerves. I spent hours and hours of hard work the last couple of days. Chris i just don’t get it with teachers these days they are so stuck up! I hope that’s not your case up in England! I deserve better than that. I’m always doing my work in class, taking notes, and raising my hand if I don't know an answer or don't understand it.I know I don't always make an good grade on test, but doesn't mean I don't do my best. Haven't he ever heard of A for effort. I always put effort into my work. I’m always working out the problem step by step and if I don't know it I still try to work it out. His class isn't even fair. He doesn't count homework but he gives it to us. The deal is who ever comes in first and answer one of the homework problems on the board gets 2 point on the test. I think that's good, but I'm not always the first one into the room because my before teacher keeps us late and there always like maybe 5 questions on the homework which I can't answer a problem. Why can't he just grade the homework and everybody the does the homework gets a point on the test, that makes it fair for everyone. teachers these days are so freaking ridiculous all they care about is there money, just kidding! after all that hard work and studying for hours i get a freaking "D" college life is harder than i thought it would be. Moving on i hope that the teachers in England are a lot more lenient than the ones here in Texas man!
